Thieves at Work in our Area

We have heard news of mail thefts in our area.  It is strongly recommeneded that you have a lock on your mailbox.

A thief was caught on camera stealing a package left by a parcel service.  The younger, male person was driving a white sedan and walked up to the house and simply took the package off the front porch.  This happened along 21st street.

Taking The Polar Plunge - Jan 1st
Several dozen hardy souls were spotted on the Dash Point pier on New Year's Day as they gathered themselves for the invigorating plunge into chilly Puget Sound.  It was quite a sight to watch and listen.  This was the 6th annual plunge at Dash Point.

Several hours later over 50 motorcycles arrived in the parking lot for a rest stop on their new year's journey.  That also was quite a sight.

Happy New Year Dash Point!

Bookmobile Service to Leave the Points on January 1st!

The Pierce county Library system has notified local residents that bookmobile service at Browns Point Town Center will be discontinued effective January 1st 2012.

We are being encouraged to just use the new Fife Pierce County Library only 7-9 miles away.  They will have chairs and benches where we can read, talk and connect with our neighbors.

We do not believe this library 'transition' is in our best interest and are saddened by this decision.  If you would like to participate in ways to communicate our concerns please contact us at dpsic07@gmail.com
